Our Story

Kiamasala was born from a desire to reach out and to celebrate the contribution the Indian community makes within our region . We want to acknowledge the diverse range of professional skills and acumen they bring to the local economy across industries such as healthcare, hospitality and professional services. Equally important are the cultural markers they impart with us through the importance placed on community spirit, charity and family. The festival is secular by design, but we look forward to welcoming the ‘broad church’ of beliefs and we welcome celebrate the importance faith plays in defining the Indian Culture.
